About The Role
The Fortnum & Mason Restaurant and Bar is located in Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport. A moment of relaxed style in the busy heart of Heathrow, this Restaurant and Bar is the perfect pre-flight destination for first class dining and cocktails. Serving a luxurious selection of fine caviar and oysters to hand carved smoked salmon with our very own selection of cocktails. The Fortnum & Mason currently looking for a Kitchen Porter to work with the back of house team, ensuring our kitchen maintains the highest standards of hygiene. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fine dining establishment.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Assisting the chefs with their day to day duties
2. Demonstrate a level of planning, organising, and time management to carry out all your duties
3. Ensure adherence to company policies, controls and standards (e.g. due diligence, cleanliness, and HSE)
4. Maintain a safe, hygienic and secure working environment
5. Maintain food safety when storing, holding, preparing, cooking and serving food
6. Help with the preparation of any dishes that are required
7. Work effectively as part of the kitchen team
About You
Fortnum & Mason expect the successful candidate to have the following skills and experience:
8. Have the ability to juggle different tasks, from keeping the kitchen spotless and pot washing to helping chefs with meticulous prep work.
9. Support the smooth running of the kitchen.
10. Prior experience as a Kitchen Porter would be beneficial but not essential
11. Team working and a positive attitude to get involved as this role is in a prep kitchen.
