About The Role: Days of Working: Sat & Sun 06.00-14.00 We are seeking a reliable and proactive Stores Person to join our team at OCS, supporting operations across Manston and Dover. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth delivery and management of catering stock, including maintaining accurate inventory levels, overseeing storeroom and cold storage conditions, and coordinating timely deliveries between sites. Working closely with the Catering Management team, you will play a key part in upholding food safety standards, compliance requirements, and operational efficiency. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, this position offers an excellent opportunity to make a real impact. As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: To deliver chilled food stockto the allocated client holding areas. Ensure vehicle is checked and maintained correctly, reporting any defects or issues. Ensure stock levels are kept to standard throughout the catering building. Monitor the unit delivery fridges & freezers and undertake daily HACCP monitoring records. Liaise with suppliers and handle queries relating to delivery and stock discrepancies To undertake all aspects of cleaning within the Catering department that includes the Stores area and the Fridges & Freezers to the Company’s standard according to the cleaning rota or as directed. Ensure stock rotation is correctly completed following each delivery. Complete Weekly stock take. To deliver food and other supplies across the site as required, using the Company vehicle. Cross check deliveries with order placed and inform Head Chef / Assistant Catering Manager of any irregularities. To review work schedules alongside your manager The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria: Must have Right to Work in the UK An enhanced DBS will be completed for the successful candidate. Food safety level 2 qualification or equivalent is also desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided Full driving License Previous experience in catering stores. Good level of computer literacy and good written and oral skills.
