Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical Bias
Location: Tuxford, Nottinghamshire
Salary: £50,000 + benefits
Shifts: Continental Shift Pattern (12-hour shifts, rotating days & nights)
We’re working with a well-established manufacturer in Tuxford who are looking to recruit a Mechanical-biased Maintenance Engineer to join their skilled engineering team.

The role:
*
Carry out mechanical breakdown response and fault-finding on production equipment
*
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime
*
Work on conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and packaging machinery
*
Support site improvement projects and machine installations
*
Work alongside electrical engineers and production teams to ensure smooth operations
*
Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and compliance
About you:
*
Time-served or qualified Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
*
Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment (FMCG/food/pharma ideal)
*
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical systems
*
Comfortable working continental shifts including nights
*
Proactive and team-oriented with good communication skills
