Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronic Repair Technician to join our technical team. This hands-on role is crucial to maintaining the performance and reliability of our high-end video equipment used in live events. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing LED panels, cables, and general electronic equipment, ensuring all assets meet operational standards and are event-ready.
This role requires a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical background in electronics, excellent fault-finding abilities, and a commitment to quality and precision.
Key Responsibilities include:
Diagnosing faults and performing repairs on our full range of equipment. Specifically :-
* LED display panels with pixel pitches from 1.9mm to 8mm pitch, involving micro soldering and fine detail work
* Processing equipment and associated electronics
* Power cables and power distribution
* Signal cables, BNC, Network and others
* Other associated equipment
* Conducting routine maintenance and testing to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
* Documenting repair work, fault logs, and maintenance schedules.
* Collaborating with warehouse and technical teams to ensure equipment is prepared for deployment.
* Assisting with equipment upgrades and modifications as required.
* Maintaining a clean and organised repair workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols.
* Supporting on-site technical teams with troubleshooting during live events when necessary.
* Continuously improving repair processes and contributing to equipment lifecycle management.
Qualifications / Skills Required:
* Proven experience in electronic repair or manufacturing, ideally within the live events, AV, or broadcast sector.
* Strong fault-finding and soldering skills, with familiarity in repairing LED panels and cable assemblies a bonus.
* Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
* Excellent attention to detail and methodical approach to repairs.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Willingness to support on-site operations when required.
