Role Description
This is a hybrid role for a Supervising Social Worker based in Manchester, with opportunities for remote work. The position involves providing supervision and support to foster carers, ensuring the well-being and development of children in care. Primary responsibilities include conducting regular home visits, completing assessments, managing foster carer recruitment, and ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards. The role also includes developing strong relationships with foster carers, children, and relevant stakeholders while maintaining accurate documentation and records.
Qualifications
* Strong skills in communication, interpersonal relationships, and active listening
* Experience in supervising, monitoring, and supporting foster carers
* Understanding and application of social work legislative frameworks and regulatory compliance
* Experience in conducting assessments, maintaining accurate documentation, and compliance with organizational procedures
* Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment with self-motivation and organizational skills
* Knowledge of safeguarding practices and the ability to ensure the safety and well-being of children
* Relevant qualifications in Social Work (e.g., BA or MA in Social Work) and registration with a recognized professional body
* Previous experience in fostering or child welfare is desirable
