The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will support the delivery of mechanical building services projects from design coordination through to installation and commissioning.
You will play a key role in ensuring technical accuracy, programme delivery, and quality across projects, with a strong focus on healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
* Assist with technical submittals and ensure timely approvals
* Support the management of RFIs and technical queries
* Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and site teams
* Monitor installation works to ensure compliance with design and standards
* Assist with project scheduling and progress tracking
* Support commissioning activities and ensure systems are delivered to specification
* Contribute to snagging, quality checks, and project close-out
* Ensure materials and equipment are available in line with programme
* Attend site and coordination meetings as required
About You
We are looking for a technically strong and proactive engineer who is looking to develop within a fast-paced project environment. xsngvjr
Essential:
* Experience in a Mechanical Engineer role within building services or construction
* Strong understanding of HVAC, pipework, and mechanical systems
* Experience working on commercial or large-scale construction projects
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Desirable:
* Experience working on healthcare or hospital projects
* Relevant engineering qualification (HNC, HND, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar)
