Background
Michabo Health Science Limited, an expanding spin-out from the University of Birmingham, specializes in molecular toxicity data from 'omics technologies to support chemical hazard assessment under European safety legislation. Our mission is to promote the transition towards safer chemicals without vertebrate animal testing, using molecular toxicity data to identify hazards for regulatory approval.
As interest in metabolomics and transcriptomics grows in regulatory toxicology, we are expanding our team. We seek a skilled Omics Data Scientist to complement our existing team, working with regulators and chemical companies across the UK and Europe, including the European Commission. Our core values include teamwork and trust, with a hybrid working model based in Birmingham, UK.

The role offers career progression through skill development in project planning, management, and specialization in methods improved by our R&D. Publishing research is also encouraged.
We seek a researcher with a PhD (or equivalent) in applying metabolomics (preferred) or transcriptomics to toxicology, human health/disease, or perturbation biology. The candidate should be capable of performing reproducible computational/statistical analyses of 'omics data using R or Python, and interpreting data within toxicological contexts.
