About the job
We're looking for a Data Analyst to join our office-based sales team and operate as a data expert, gather and interpret large sets of data in order to provide actionable insights, identify areas for improvement, anticipate future issues (short, medium and long term), support decision making, enhance reporting and propose solutions.

What you will be doing
* Collect, clean and analyse large datasets to assist with key decision making and improve the efficiency of customer reporting.
* Produce management information to the agreed schedule, daily/weekly/monthly that provides actionable insight helping relevant stakeholders to make strategic and operational decisions.
* Design, create and maintain regular, bespoke and ad-hoc reports in line with current operational requirements and project activities - you will gather and analyse data, then adapt it to present in a way that is appropriate for the intended audience.
* Proactively engage with sales team and customers to aid understanding; attend internal and customer meetings to actively contribute to the team achieving goals and targets.
* Support process of forecasting and analysis of the cost to serve methodology on a rolling 18-month basis.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
* Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to provide actionable recommendations.
* Ensure data accuracy and integrity through rigorous validation and quality checks – challenging and supporting non-compliant teams in understanding and training the needs for accurate data.
* Identify service improvement and or cost saving opportunities with focus on efficiency and customer excellence.
* Implement a reporting pack with a commentary to keep key sales and operational planning stakeholders informed of performance.
* Support sales team by contributing to financial modelling requirements to enable accurate forecasting.

You will have knowledge of reporting, and database applications including QlikView, Qlik Sense and MySQL or similar. With demonstrable experience of analytical tools, data manipulation, statistical analysis and related working methods you will work seamlessly as part of the sales and business development team.
