Retail store assistant (with keyholder responsibility)
£12.21 per hour plus benefits

Contract: 6 months FTC
Hours: 6 – Sundays only
Location: Dunfermline High St Shop

Role overview: We’re seeking a motivated retail assistant to join our trading team, acting as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK and taking responsibility for the shop on Sundays.
Key responsibilities:
1. Overseeing the shop operations on Sundays, including keyholder responsibilities (training provided) and supporting a diverse team of volunteers.
2. Assisting the team in achieving sales and fundraising targets.
3. Reviewing and processing donated goods and new stock.
4. Generating creative ideas to increase income, with guidance from the Shop Manager.
5. Providing excellent customer service to ensure supporters and customers feel welcomed and valued.
6. Maintaining shop standards related to safeguarding, compliance, and health and safety.
7. Performing manual handling and physical activities as part of daily duties.

* Adaptability to changing situations, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
