Fantastic entry-level opportunity into IT & Telecommunications. Full training provided; previous tech skills are an advantage but not required.

Shift Basis: 4 on 4 off, 2 days, 2 nights. 10-hour days (07:00-17:00), 14-hour nights (17:00-07:00).


Job Purpose

The Indigo GSD (Global Service Desk) supports top-tier customers worldwide with engineering resources and technical services. Based in South Wales, staffed 24/7/365, with established procedures.

The role involves clear communication, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.


Principal Responsibilities

1. Answer and process customer fault calls professionally and consistently.
2. Log support calls accurately, adhering to SLA metrics.
3. Manage faults through to resolution, liaising with third-party suppliers.
4. Update the fault management system regularly.
5. Keep customers informed about progress.
6. Dispatch engineering resources worldwide as needed.
7. Monitor support email and third-party systems to meet SLAs.
8. Follow processes before escalating issues.
9. Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by managers.

Based at the Magor office.


Candidate Profile

* Experience in Service Desk roles is advantageous.
* Strong relationship-building skills.
* Analytical, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.
* Excellent communication skills in English.
* Motivated to learn and develop skills.
* Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
* Calm under pressure.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Trustworthy and honest.


Contract Details

Initial 3-month assignment with potential to become permanent.
