We employ over 70 staff across our 2 factories, manufacturing high quality, bespoke products ranging from specialised glass to products for the boat building industry. About the Job
We are looking for a full time Customer Administrator to support the Customer team in selling our bespoke range of products to new and existing customers within the marine sector. You will be one of the first points of contact for customers via the telephone and email and so will need to be confident, hold excellent written and telephone skills and have previous experience of a customer admin / sales environment, where you have provided excellent customer service. You will be working in a busy environment with others, who understand the importance of dealing with leads and enquiries promptly and efficiently.
This role is office based and hours per week Monday to Friday between the hours of; 8.00am to 5.30pm. Flexibility may be required around the times of trade and retail shows to prepare for the exhibitions. Remuneration will be between £26,325 - £29,835 depending on experience and hours worked.
Responsibilities
We have a range of products to select from; you will need to understand the customers' needs and provide them with the most appropriate solution. Administrative duties will include the input of all quotes and orders, delivery enquiries and dealing with any after sales issues as well as liaising closely with production shop floor to ensure customer orders are completed correctly and on time.
Qualifications / Experience
The ideal candidate would hold a minimum of one years' Administration/Customer Sales experience, be a fast learner, able to retain information as there is a lot to learn and involves technical elements. You should also be good with IT technology as we have our own bespoke software. You should be able to manage your own workload and work as part of a team, be results driven to ensure divisional targets are achieved. Accuracy and attention to detail is crucial to ensure we get it right first time as the vast majority of our products are bespoke. You will also need to be confident with basic maths as this role will require someone who is able to understand dimensions/measurements as well as 2 dimensional drawings. A 'can do' and positive attitude as well as problem-solving skills are essential. Marine industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
