Overview
We're looking for an experienced
Solution Architect
to join a leading digital consultancy delivering complex, large-scale transformation programmes across the UK public sector and healthcare. This is a senior-level role suited to someone with strong architectural leadership skills, a consultancy mindset, and a background working in government or NHS/public health domains.
You'll lead multi-disciplinary agile teams to design and deliver impactful, user-focused solutions. From negotiating with customer stakeholders to mentoring team members and influencing architectural strategy, you'll play a key role in shaping outcomes that matter.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end architecture design for modern, multi-tiered applications in complex delivery environments.
Lead agile, cross-functional delivery teams to implement scalable and secure technical solutions.
Work closely with customer architects to align functional and non-functional design priorities.
Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Provide coaching, mentoring and performance support to junior architects and engineers.
Influence best practice, policies, and architectural standards across teams.
Essential Experience
Proven success designing solutions for modern, cloud-based applications (e.g. AWS, Azure - including SaaS/PaaS).
Deep understanding of whole solution architecture and non-functional requirements (e.g. security, performance, scalability).
Strong communication and decision-making skills in a fast-paced consulting/delivery setting.
Experience delivering to or within
UK public sector or public healthcare organisations .
Evidence of supporting and developing others through mentoring or line management.
Desirable Experience
Experience overseeing complex technology delivery across multi-team programmes.
Involvement in pre-sales or account growth alongside business development teams.
Ability to manage time effectively across multiple large-scale projects.
Active participation in architecture or technology communities.
