Responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity for you to become the NCHA ambassador for a designated geographical area. As our Housing Officer you will support, deliver and co‑ordinate our tenancy management and sustainment approach, and deliver estate management activity while involving local residents and partners in this and other customer engagement activities.
Key duties include:
* Be the face of NCHA on your patch, carrying out new customer visits and other scheduled tenancy management visits.
* Use a risk‑based approach to identify customers who will need further support to maintain their tenancy and home.
* Carry out a programme of support visits to build trust and maintain those relationships as an ambassador for NCHA.
The role is patch‑based, with an expectation to base your work from our Clifton or Mountsorrel office at least three days a week. Working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00–17:00, with some flexibility to meet the needs of the business. The role covers Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.
Qualifications
We are looking for an enthusiastic people person who loves to engage with others and is full of ideas on how to enrich the community. You will be an avid listener and keep your ear to the ground.
Essential:
* Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Experience in community engagement, housing or a related field.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites.
