We strive to nurture and develop the whole person—spiritually, academically, and socially—by integrating faith into every aspect of school life. Our schools are inclusive, vibrant, and diverse communities where students are encouraged to grow in their relationship with God and with each other.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lay Chaplain to work within our trust. This is a reserved post, and the successful candidate must be a practising Catholic who is committed to deepening the spiritual life of our school communities.

Please refer to the attached document for a full definition of a practicing Catholic.

The Role:
As Lay Chaplain, you will lead the spiritual growth of students, staff, and families across multiple schools. You’ll foster a strong Catholic ethos, organise liturgical events, and provide pastoral care. Working with the headteacher, you’ll help shape the Catholic Life of the school and implement its vision.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead prayers, liturgies, and worship, meeting the spiritual needs of the community.
- Offer pastoral care and spiritual guidance to students, staff, and families.
- Support the RE curriculum and integrate Catholic values into school life.

Ideal Candidate:
- Strong knowledge of Catholic faith, liturgy, and traditions.
- Excellent communicator, able to engage and inspire.
- Collaborative and inclusive approach.
- Able to organize spiritual events and liturgical celebrations.

What We Offer:
- A supportive Catholic school community.
- Professional and spiritual development opportunities.
- A role with meaningful impact on spiritual life.
- Collaborative work environment with dedicated teams.
- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme with 24/7 support.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
