Responsibilities

Role Responsibilities & Leadership
The post holder will play a key leadership role as a senior nurse within the team, providing support to patients throughout their cancer journey. They will offer expert advice and support to patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure high-quality care. The role includes maintaining professional standards, acting as a role model, and providing accessible leadership at all times. It also involves education and training to colleagues relevant to the role and supporting ongoing professional development. Management and strategic responsibilities include report writing, data collection, audits, and service development opportunities. The post holder will promote evidence-based practice within the specialty by integrating expert clinical skills, education, and a commitment to nursing research.
