Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining food safety standards.
Duties:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and create menus
- Oversee food preparation and production processes
- Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels and ordering supplies
- Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and cleanliness
- Contribute to the training and development of kitchen staff
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a busy restaurant or hotel kitchen
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating exceptional dishes
- Excellent leadership abilities to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant culinary qualifications are desirable
