Job Description
My client is a Building Services consultancy providing single-source solutions to the construction industry, property owners, and property managers. They specialize in all aspects of Building Services Commissioning and Client Verification and have been at the forefront of Commissioning Management for over 35 years. Due to growth, they are seeking a Lead Commissioning Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
1. Review all commissioning-related documentation.
2. Review testing and commissioning processes and plans.
3. Identify project risks and potential opportunities.
4. Monitor and report on installation progress.
5. Review trade contractors' method statements.
6. Attend regular commissioning meetings.
7. Participate in off-site and factory witness tests.
8. Witness system pre-commissioning and setting to work activities.
9. Witness commissioning activities and all integrated system testing.
10. Oversee performance and environmental testing.
11. Coordinate testing of life safety systems with relevant authorities.
12. Provide detailed reports to clients at agreed intervals.
13. Present a final summary report confirming services are correctly installed and commissioned.
14. Identify outstanding works, snags, or latent risks.
15. Conduct system commissionability reviews.
16. Develop and implement the commissioning plan.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Degree or HND in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven UK experience in commissioning management.
3. Strong understanding of MEP systems and their integration within building environments.
4. Extensive knowledge of British standards and building regulations.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong leadership and communication skills.
7. Experience in developing commissioning programs, including critical path identification and milestone management.
8. Experience in monitoring production and installation to standards.
9. Ability to produce and manage monitoring documentation for tests, commissioning, and approvals.
