Team Manager – Mental Health Team Salary - £54,495 - £61,379 per annum. Hours – 37 hours per week We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, innovative and creative manager to join our Adult Care Service, to lead the ongoing development of Solihull’s Mental Health Team. About the Role Our Mental Health Team in Solihull provides specialist social care support to Solihull residents with complex mental health needs. We work closely with our mental health colleagues in the NHS and we share a base with various Community Mental Health teams. The team also has oversight of Solihull’s high quality Approved Mental Health Professional service, and the Team Manager will both support all AMHPs and act as an AMHP on a rota. As the Team Manager, you will be part of a highly experienced and dedicated team, delivering effective supervision and leadership to embed a strengths-based model of assessment and support, promoting independence and well-being and achieving better outcomes for people, carers and their families. You will play a pivotal role in managing and developing our dedicated team of professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support services, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for both staff and the people we support. About You To be successful in this role you will have: A Professional Social Work qualification or equivalent and significant experience in adult social work services Significant management experience within a pressurised environment The ability to lead, support, mentor and develop a large team of Adult Care and Support professionals The ability to build positive relationships with people from a variety of roles across health and social care The ability to embed a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring positive and high-quality practice is observed A management qualification or other post qualifying awards would be an advantage. It is also a requirement for the Team Manager working in the Mental Health Team to be an AMHP (Approved Mental Health Practitioner). Training will be provided where required. Once trained, you will undertake AMHP duties, for which an additional payment to the value of 2 increments will be made. As such, there is a requirement that you are within easy reach of the borough, able to drive and have access to a car, therefore this role carries essential car user status. Above all you will need to evidence your passion for supporting people with care and support needs, partnership working and the ability to work in an innovative way. Further Information This is an essential car user post as the demands of the job make it operationally essential and there is a contractual requirement to make a suitable vehicle available to ensure the requirements of the job can be carried out effectively.
