Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fleet Coordinator to help oversee our fleet operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our fleet, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all vehicles. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to implement effective strategies for fleet management.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the maintenance and repair of all fleet vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures for fleet operations, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance schedules, and compliance with regulations.
* Implement strategies to reduce costs while maintaining efficiency.
* Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure timely repairs and services.
* Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards.
* Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, maintenance, and repairs.
* Analyse fleet performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
* Lead a team of drivers and support staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
Requirements
* Proven experience in fleet management or a similar role within the transport industry.
* Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance processes and regulations.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Proficient in using fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A valid driving licence is essential; additional qualifications in logistics or transport management would be advantageous.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
