They are known for their collaborative culture, strong mentoring ethos, and commitment to helping professionals grow their careers while working on some of the UK's most vital engineering projects.\n\nYour Role\n\nYou’ll provide quantity surveying and cost consultancy support across a variety of infrastructure schemes in the energy sector. Working closely with internal and external teams, you’ll help ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget, and in compliance with client expectations and industry standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n•Estimating and cost planning\n\n•Production of feasibility studies and cost plans from early-stage design information\n\n•Preparation of tender documentation and procurement management\n\n•NEC contract administration and commercial reporting\n\n•Risk analysis, value engineering, and change control\n\n•Regular interface with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary consultants\n\n•Monitoring project progress and cost against programme and budget\n\n•Supporting and guiding junior team members, including APC candidates\n\n•Leading client liaison and assisting with business development\n\nAbout You\n\n•Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline\n\n•Ideally MRICS or working toward chartership\n\n•Strong experience delivering cost consultancy within infrastructure projects\n\n•Sector knowledge in power, utilities, energy, or heavy engineering preferred\n\n•Proficient in NEC contracts (NEC3 or NEC4)\n\n•Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills\n\n•Able to lead and advise clients in a collaborative, solutions-focused manner\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n•Competitive base salary (dependent on experience)\n\n•Car allowance and full business mileage reimbursement\n\n•Annual salary review and discretionary bonus\n\n•Hybrid working model (typically 3 days on site/client office, 2 from home)\n\n•25 days holiday + bank holidays\n\n•Private healthcare & life assurance\n\n•Enhanced pension contributions\n\n•Generous parental and childcare support\n\n•Company phone, laptop, and equipment\n\n•Regular social events and an inclusive company culture\n\n•Structured APC support with access to qualified assessors\n\n•Clear and achievable career progression routes\n\nIf you're ready to take the next step in your Quantity Surveying career, get in touch with Freya at Vertical Recruitment or apply now for a confidential conversation
