Description Following a recent change in strategy, we are now looking for a Senior Agent to support an upcoming demolition project, with potential to grow into a future role on the main construction works. As the Senior Agent for the demolition works, you will have responsibility for the safe demolition and removal of a 100-year-old existing structure, working in a highly regulated environment in close proximity to a number of key stakeholders. You will manage the demolition contractor to ensure the works are completed safely, on time and to budget. This role is primarily based on site and candidates must be able to obtain security clearance. LI-ES1 Responsibilities Assist with the procurement and selection of a demolition contractor to complete the work scope. Manage the demolition contractor (once appointed) to develop the demolition method, identify and develop supporting temporary works and manage interface with key stakeholders. Develop programmes and forecast budgets, assess actual programme and productivity achieved and review weekly, acting where appropriate, and reporting any changes to the Enabling and Demolition Lead and QS department. Be fully conversant with management of subcontractors’ contract conditions, develop job specific subcontract conditions and manage the subcontractors account with the QS team. Ensure that inspection and test plans, risk assessments and method statements, permitting arrangements and temporary works requirements for the control of the works are reviewed, approved, and adhered to. Produce monthly reports for financial forecasting, monitoring and control of project cost. Provide visible leadership on health and safety aspects. Understand the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies, processes and statutory requirements as they affect the project’s operations and ensure that the requirements are implemented on the project. Qualifications Essential: 3-5 years’ experience at a similar level on a major project or in a highly regulated environment. Experience of managing subcontract packages. Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practice. IT competence (MS Word, Excel, Document control system). Desirable: Experience of demolition works. Experience working in a nuclear environment. NEC3/4 contract experience.
