Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SENDCO to join our team. As a SENDCO, you will play a crucial role in promoting inclusion, understanding special educational needs and disabilities, and ensuring that all children have the opportunity to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the school’s provision for students with SEND.
2. Develop and implement strategies to support students’ learning and well-being.
3. Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create individualised support plans.
4. Monitor progress and evaluate the impact of interventions.
5. Contribute to the school’s overall improvement and development.
Qualifications and Experience:
6. Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
7. National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (NASENCO) qualification (desirable).
8. Experience working with students with SEND.
9. Strong understanding of inclusion and effective strategies for supporting diverse learners.
