Your New Role
We are looking for a hands-on Technical Support Lead to carry out day-to-day technical and workshop tasks. You will be responsible for supporting the Workshop and Field Service Team, and creating clear SOPs. This is a practical role that also involves sharing knowledge, ensuring high standards, and helping to keep the workshop and field service activities running smoothly.
Whilst working in this role your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Technical Support & Repairs
Diagnose and repair a range of machines and equipment • Handle escalated or moreplex technical faults • Log all repairs, parts used, and faults found accurately • Provide technical support and advice to others when needed.
Workshop Responsibilities
Carry out preparation tasks, including testing, setting up, and ensuring machines are ready for delivery or installation • Keep workshop tools, test equipment, and parts organised and in good working condition • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment • Help monitor and report stock levels for parts and supplies.
SOPs & Procedures
Write and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for repairs, maintenance, and machine preparation • Follow procedures closely and ensure others do the same • Support the training of team members on safe and efficient working methods.
Team Support &munication
Work closely with other team members toplete daily tasks • Share technical knowledge and support others when needed •municate clearly with other departments to ensure machines are ready on time • Provide regular updates on progress and raise any issues as they arise.
What You'll Need To Succeed
In order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:
Strong hands-on experience with machine repairs and preparation ( electro-mechanical or similar equipment) • Experience in a technician role • Good understanding of workshop safety and procedures • Able to create and follow technical processes and documentation • Excellent attention to detail and time management • Basicputer skills for logging work and updating SOPs • Equivalent or higher than Level 3 Engineering Diploma – Advanced Electronics qualification.
What You'll Get In Return
This role offers an excellent working pattern on days, Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:00 and Friday 08:00 - 14:15 ( hour week). Apetitive salary is available (DoE) is available, supplemented with a strong benefits package and excellentpany culture.
