You will be responsible for delivering a stimulating and challenging English curriculum across Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and potentially Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11). Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging and stimulating English lessons that promote a love of literature, language, and effective communication. Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential. Foster critical thinking, analysis, and interpretation skills through the exploration of a wide range of texts. Develop students' written and oral communication skills, preparing them for success in examinations and beyond. Effectively prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations (if applicable). Assessment and Feedback: Utilize a variety of assessment strategies to monitor student progress and inform teaching and learning. Provide clear, constructive, and timely feedback to help students improve their skills and understanding. Professional Development: Continuously develop your own professional knowledge and skills, staying up-to-date with current trends and developments in English education. The Ideal Candidate: A qualified English Teacher with a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience in a secondary school setting. A demonstrable passion for English Language and Literature, with a strong commitment to raising student achievement. Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to engage students with a wide range of texts and genres. Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver creative and interactive lessons.
