We are seeking an experienced and motivated Dental Coach to join our team at Sandwell College on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to support and develop learners within the dental sector, helping them achieve their qualifications and progress in their careers.

Key Responsibilities
* Coach and support learners working towards dental qualifications/apprenticeships
* Deliver high-quality training, assessment, and progress reviews
* Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback
* Support learners in achieving their qualifications in a timely manner
* Liaise with employers to ensure workplace learning meets required standards
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with awarding body requirements
* Provide pastoral support and guidance to learners where required
* Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and awarding body regulations
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential
* Relevant qualification and/or significant experience in the dental sector
* Knowledge of dental practice standards and procedures
* Experience supporting or training learners or staff
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Good organisational and administrative skills
* Ability to work independently and manage caseloads
* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and inclusion
Desirable
* Assessing qualification (e.g. TAQA/CAVA or equivalent)
* Teaching or coaching qualification
* Experience working with apprenticeships
* Experience in further education or training environments
Teaching Qualifications & Salary Banding
To be eligible for our Qualified Lecturer salary banding (£31,837 - £48,160), you must hold one of the following teaching qualifications:
* DTTLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
* Certificate in Education
* PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
* ProfGCE (Professional Graduate Certificate in Education)
* DET (Diploma in Education and Training)
* DiT (Diploma in Teaching) – if for a vocational subject
If you do not hold one of the above qualifications, you will fall into our Unqualified Lecturer salary banding (£26,661 - £29,998).
