What you'll be doing

Join us on this mission as a Production Controller in the Pyrotechnic department at our Chalgrove, Oxfordshire site. It is a fantastic opportunity where you will be responsible for processing of data items and supporting the shipping processes of pyrotechnic devices used in aircraft escape systems. The role requires working closely with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing, to ensure defect free product is manufactured in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.
You will have the opportunity to work with internal and external stakeholders and you will play an important part in ensuring the on-time delivery of customer orders, high production throughput and ensuring stock levels and work in progress is at the optimum level.

Aspects of the role will include:
* Producing ammunition data cards.
* Processing of contract data requirement lines.
* The management of customer orderbook and delivery reports.
* Back-up handling deliveries to the Shipping department.
* Collation and review of production paperwork for presentation for customer review.
* Checking completed packing / production cards for booking in errors.
* Working proactively with the PC, PED and QA departments supporting the production plan and ensuring corrective actions are introduced to eliminate defects.
Characteristics & Skills
* Familiarity with US Government packing and shipping requirements would be highly beneficial
* Experience in data processing and process coordination within a technical environment.
* Experience with planning and organising
* Able to demonstrate solid data analysis and accurate typist skills
* A keen eye for detail and thorough when checking own work.
* English and Maths GCSE C+ or above or equivalent.
