We are working with a well developed company who have a focused manufacturing capability based on CNC technology. In addition to traditional standalone machining centers, they have 6 sliding head CNC lathes that allow complete production of finished components from raw bar material. We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller Setter/Operator to join them in their faci.

Are you a highly experienced CNC Miller with a sharp eye for detail? If so here at Kamro we have partnered up with a precision machining company who are looking for someone to join their CNC Milling department. This is an opportunity to put your programming and setting abilities to the test on state-of-the-art multi-axis machinery.

About the role

In this role, you will be a key player in the manufacturing process, taking responsibility for your work from start to finish. From creating precise programs for 3, 4, and 5-axis milling machines to setting up machines, running initial tests, and meticulously inspecting first-off parts using high-quality measuring equipment. You will be instrumental in developing efficient machining strategies, ensuring parts are produced to the exacting standards required by the aerospace, autosport, and medical sectors.

Working hours

Monday to Thursday: 08:00 17:00

Friday: 08:00 12:00

Set CNC mills ensuring parts are correct to drawing specifications

Machine components to meet drawing tolerances

Create programs for 3; 4 & 5 axis CNC mills

Following job route cards (process sheets)

Running batch work, checking dimensions using various items of measuring equipment

Key requirements

Experience as a CNC Miller, ( Hurco Milling Machines)

Knowledge of HyperMILL or similar programming software's

Reading and understanding engineering drawings
