Morson Edge is seeking a skilled Compliance Investigator to join a leading aerospace organisation at Oxford Airport. This role sits within the Compliance Team and is critical in maintaining safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across UK sites. The successful candidate will conduct detailed investigations, provide on-site compliance support, and ensure standardised practices across multiple locations within the UK Helicopter MRO environment. • Pay: 24.05 PAYE / 32.18 Umbrella • Location: Oxford Airport, Kidlington (the role requires travel to multiple UK sites) • Duration: 6-month contract (likely to continue to be extended) • Schedule: 37.5 hours a week Role Purpose As a Compliance Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth compliance investigations, performing root-cause analysis, and driving robust corrective and preventive actions. You will ensure that operational activities consistently meet regulatory requirements, internal quality standards, and safety expectations, while supporting a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Compliance Investigations & Root Cause Analysis • Lead thorough investigations into compliance incidents, discrepancies, and safety concerns • Conduct MEDA investigations where required • Apply RCA tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, Fault Tree Analysis) to determine underlying causes • Identify Human Factors and Human Performance issues • Track trends and systemic issues, ensuring sustainable CAPA solutions Regulatory & Quality Assurance • Ensure compliance with UK CAA/EASA Part 145, Part CAMO, Part 21G, and MAA MRP145/MIL CAMO standards • Support Quality Assurance with audits, inspections, and compliance monitoring • Manage and coordinate responses to audit findings and non-conformances Process Improvement & Risk Mitigation • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to enhance processes • Recommend risk mitigation actions based on investigation outcomes • Promote best practice in safety, compliance monitoring, and human factors Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting • Produce detailed, high-quality investigation reports for senior leadership and regulators • Engage proactively with cross-functional teams to raise compliance awareness • Maintain accurate investigation records and monitor CAPA through closure Essential Skills & Experience • Experience conducting compliance investigations in an aviation MRO or aerospace environment • Strong understanding of RCA methodologies and problem-solving tools • In-depth knowledge of EASA Part 145 and UK CAA regulations • Understanding of Human Factors, Human Performance, and limitations • Experience with audits/inspections in a maintenance organisation • Strong analytical skills with excellent report-writing abilities • Proficiency with QMS, compliance monitoring tools, and data analysis software Desirable Skills • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement • MEDA investigation experience • Knowledge of Part CAMO, Part 21G, and Military Aviation Authority (MAA) regulations • Understanding of ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards • Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal communication skills Qualifications & Training Essential: • Formal training in RCA / investigation methodologies • Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC) Desirable: • SMS certification • Aviation Auditor / Lead Auditor qualification • Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt • Extensive aviation compliance or audit experience
