In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with the Managing Director and the Specialty Leadership Team to turn bold ideas into actionable strategies that drive Allianz Specialty’s growth priorities. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
Location
The position is located in Ditton Park, Datchet with the expectation to be able to travel to London regularly.

About You
* Understands the overall Allianz Specialty strategy and wider Allianz Specialty direction. Spots opportunities and issues that require senior attention and converts them into clear actions.
* Leads priority strategic initiatives end-to-end. Frames problems, builds business cases, and ensures the Managing Director and leadership team can make informed decisions.
* Identifies opportunities for sustainable growth in the UK, maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, and demonstrates strong awareness of competitors and key insurance market participants.
* Prepares board and executive papers. Synthesises complex inputs, ensures accuracy, and shapes content to drive alignment and clarity.
* Chairs and coordinates strategy days. Sets agendas, integrates contributions, and ensures commitments are followed through.
* Builds strong relationships across senior stakeholders to remove blockers and keep cross-functional initiatives on track.
* Works collaboratively with Finance, Trading, Partnerships, Operations, Change, and Underwriting to ensure strategic initiatives are delivered as planned.
* Represents Allianz Specialty in interactions with external partners where work links to strategic priorities.
Essential Skills
* Ability to create impactful insights and presentations with strong Power Point and Excel capabilities.
* Ability to think creatively, turns ideas into concepts and be agile.
* Robust stakeholder management, in particular across Leadership Team, with ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner.
* Experience building business cases and financial modelling (good numeracy would be beneficial).
* Highly organised, with a can-do attitude focused on delivery and pace.
* Able to manage multiple priorities independently. Ownership is key.
* Applies commercial judgement and awareness.
* Demonstrates knowledge of insurance and financial KPIs and their underlying business drivers.
* Degree or equivalent experience in economics, business, management, or related fields, with strong commercial knowledge.
