La Terraza is a vibrant and authentic tapas restaurant bringing the heart of Spain to Yarm. The Role:
We are looking for a talented and reliable Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team. You will play a key role in maintaining high culinary standards, supporting senior chefs, and taking ownership of a specific section of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook a variety of traditional and modern tapas dishes
* Manage your section efficiently and consistently during service
* Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and organisation in line with hygiene standards
* Support Sous Chef and Head Chef with prep, service, and mentoring junior staff
* Contribute ideas to seasonal menus and daily specials
What We're Looking For:
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen (ideally in Mediterranean/Spanish or small plate cuisine)
* A strong understanding of food prep, presentation, and timing
* Calm under pressure and a team player with excellent communication skills
* Passion for Spanish food and culture
* Right to work in the UK (or relevant location)
