SEN Teaching Assistant – Fleetwood | September 2025 Start Location: Fleetwood, Lancashire Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (ASC Support) Start Date: September 2025 Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only Pay: £13.75- £14.50 per day (depending on experience) Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist provision in the Fleetwood area seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team in September 2025. The role is based in a specialist SEN unit attached to a mainstream primary school, supporting pupils aged 5–11 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated needs, including communication difficulties and sensory processing challenges. Your Role: Provide 1:1 and small-group support for children with ASC Promote independence, emotional regulation, and social development Adapt and differentiate learning tasks under teacher guidance Implement EHCP targets and work closely with external professionals Create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment What We’re Looking For: Experience working with children or young people with SEN, especially ASC (in school, residential, care or voluntary settings) Calm, empathetic and adaptable with excellent communication skills A team player with a positive, proactive approach Additional training (e.g. Team Teach, PECS, Makaton) is desirable but not essential Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) The School Offers: A warm, supportive staff team and well-resourced SEN unit Ongoing CPD and SEN-specific training Strong leadership and clear behaviour support frameworks Opportunity to make a real difference to young lives Apply Now!
