Lead Audit Professional
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Audit Manager. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for leading audit engagements, managing client relationships, and providing exceptional service to our clients.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in delivering high-quality audits, managing teams, and developing staff. You will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead audit engagements, including planning, execution, and reporting.
* Manage client relationships, building strong working relationships with clients and their management teams.
* Develop and implement effective audit strategies, identifying areas of risk and implementing procedures to mitigate those risks.
* Manage and develop staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
* Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments, applying that knowledge to deliver high-quality audits.
Requirements
* ACCA/ACA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent.
* Significant experience of delivering audit and other assurance services to major audited entities, including audited entities with international interests.
* Experience of systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing of complex financial statement areas, including consolidations, group audits, and review of statutory accounts and disclosures.
* Project Management experience of large, complex engagements, or a large portfolio of smaller engagements, ideally with some cross border element.
* Excellent working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP and Financial Reporting requirements.
* Managing and developing staff (not only audit teams), i.e. coordinating staff projects, mentoring, counselling, appraising, recruiting.
* Business development experience - able to evidence robust commercial and financial management of a portfolio of audited entities, as well as ability to identify and convert opportunities to sell work. Demonstrable knowledge of current economic and market trends.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
* Sector experience appropriate to BDO audited entities.
* Experience working with US listed audited entities.
* Experience with PCOAB.
* Experience auditing international groups and working with other worldwide offices.
