Overview
In this role, you will gain hands-on experience while working on innovative engineering projects, contributing to the design, development, and manufacturing of high-quality products. You’ll work alongside experts to deepen your understanding of engineering principles, all while completing a degree-level apprenticeship.
Technical Responsibility
* Assist in engineering tasks to define product requirements, create designs, perform tests, and validate final hardware components.
* Apply relevant standards and specifications under direct supervision
* Identify basic risks related to the design and manufacturing of products
* Demonstrate a basic understanding of engineering principles in one area of expertise
* Help maintain cleanliness, organisation, and health and safety standards in the workplace
Technical Processes, Tools & Documentation
Support the development and integration of mechanical components using Computer-Aided Design (CAD), applying basic methods and concepts
Technical Leadership
Under close supervision, assist in the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of mechanical components
Problem Solving
* Develop basic troubleshooting skills to identify and fix issues with equipment
* Apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem-solving with coaching and guidance
Commercial Awareness
Understand the importance of estimating, budgeting, and managing costs in project execution
