About The Role
Full Time Permanent (42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday). Location: Peterborough.
Salary up to £40,914.88 per annum, plus a company van & fuel card.
This is a dynamic, office and field-based leadership role where you’ll oversee the delivery of void & responsive planned works across occupied/vacant properties. You’ll play a key part in ensuring homes are safe, compliant, and ready for residents, making a real impact in the community.

Responsibilities
* Supervise the day-to-day delivery of void & responsive planned works across occupied/vacant homes
* Take overall responsibility for supervising, ensuring void & responsive planned works are completed in line with contractual, legislative, and quality standards
* Ensure all repairs are completed safely, on time, and to agreed quality standards
* Carry out regular site visits to monitor works progress, resolve issues, and maintain resident satisfaction
* Inspection of equipment
* Allocate operatives, subcontractors, and resources effectively to meet repairs KPIs and contractual targets
* Plan and manage repairs workloads to minimise disruption to residents
* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures across all repairs and damp & mould activity
* Complete post-inspection quality checks and ensure any remedial actions are fully closed out
* Lead, support, and performance-manage repairs operatives, providing day-to-day supervision and coaching
* Identify skills gaps and support training and development within the repairs team, particularly around damp and mould works
* Apply HR policies relating to attendance, conduct, and performance management
* Manage repairs assets including vans, tools, PPE, and van stock
* Monitor materials usage and order supplies to support cost-effective repairs delivery
* Use repairs systems and reports to track performance, productivity, and job completion
* Act as a point of contact for residents, resolving repairs and damp & mould issues professionally and promptly
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate repairs delivery
* Support contract mobilisation, audits, and continuous improvement within repairs services
* Assist with cost control, forecasting, and identifying efficiencies within repairs operations
* Provide supervisory cover during absences or periods of peak repairs demand
* Attend toolbox talks, repairs briefings, training, and company meetings
* Ensure all repairs activities reflect company values and a professional service at all times
Qualifications
* Experience in a Supervisor role ideally within social housing
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, compliance, and quality standards within housing repairs
* Relevant City & Guilds (or equivalent) trade qualification
* Full UK driving licence
* Resident-focused communicator with a practical, solutions-driven approach
* Well organised, decisive, and effective in a fast-paced repairs environment
* Confident working with systems, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21, have held your licence for over 3 months, and have less than 9 points.
