At our BE-ST Campus in Hamilton, we have an opportunity for a Finance Assistant with a passion for all things accounting and digitisation, an eye for detail and a data driven mindset. Youll take a hands-on approach working with budgets, our accounting system as well as dealing with project expenditure and income.

About the Role
As a Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of BE-ST. Youll ensure that financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, supporting both operational delivery and strategic decision-making.
Youll be involved in a wide range of activities including:
Processing invoices, purchase orders and supplier payments
Maintaining accurate financial records and general ledger entries
Supporting project teams to monitor income and expenditure
Reconciling accounts and resolving financial queries
Assisting with procurement processes in line with public sector regulations
Supporting audit preparation and ensuring compliance with financial procedures
Youll also contribute to continuous improvement, helping to enhance systems, strengthen financial
controls, and develop efficient, user-friendly processes.
What Were Looking For
Were looking for someone who is:
Detail-oriented, organised and proactive
Confident working with financial systems
Experienced in bookkeeping or transactional finance
Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders
A strong communicator with a collaborative mindset
Interested in improving processes and finding smarter ways of working
An HND (or equivalent) in Finance or Accounting is essential, along with strong Excel and IT skills.

Additional Information
Salary: £26,093 - £28,031 per annum (Grade 3) calculated pro rata - starting salary, subject to annual pay increases until scale maximum of £31,236, as well as cost of living increases)
Were currently operating a hybrid working model (Minimum 2 days in the office). Therefore you will be required to work at our BE-ST campus in Hamilton .
