Overview
As a Senior Communications Engineer, you'll be at the heart of delivering cutting‑edge military satellite communication solutions for maritime platforms. This is your chance to work on the UK MOD's modernised satellite network, supporting national security and global defence operations. Responsibilities
* Installing and configuring IP networks and RF equipment on surface and sub‑surface maritime platforms
* Responding to network incidents and providing third‑line support for maritime customers
* Testing and commissioning new equipment and services to meet UK security standards
* Managing obsolescence and ensuring compliance with evolving security requirements
* Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver seamless communication solutions
Essential Experience
* Installation of network and RF equipment on maritime platforms
* Delivery of MILSATCOM solutions to maritime environments
* Strong knowledge of IP network architectures
* Background in telecommunications or satellite communications
* Familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle and serial communication services
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline
* Cisco Professional (CCNA) certification preferred, or demonstrable experience at this level
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.

Location
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days onsite and days working from home depending on business requirements. The candidate can be based from Corsham, Devonport, Bristol or Plymouth.
