We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional service and support while managing their vehicle service needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring that each client feels valued and informed throughout their experience.
Duties
* Greet customers warmly and assess their service needs with professionalism.
* Provide detailed explanations of services offered, including maintenance and repairs, while effectively upselling additional services when appropriate.
* Efficiently assist to manage daily service operations, including scheduling workload, ordering/booking parts and costing/invoicing retail invoices.
* Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service requests, and vehicle history to ensure seamless communication and follow-up.
* Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies.
* Lead and motivate a team of 5 technicians and relay customer concerns and ensure a timely completion of work.
* Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during the service process, maintaining a high level of satisfaction.
* Keep the service area organised and presentable, contributing to a welcoming environment for customers.
Experience
* Previous experience in a customer service role in the automotive industry is essential.
* Previously come from a workshop or control background.
* Class 4 MOT tester would be a distinct advantage.
* Demonstrable mechanical knowledge to effectively communicate with both customers and technicians about vehicle issues.
* Strong upselling skills to promote additional services that enhance customer satisfaction and vehicle performance.
* Proficient in cash handling processes with attention to detail in financial transactions.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with customers quickly.
