Job Title: Head of Permanent Energy Division (Renewables – CAPEX) Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in office) Salary: Up to £70,000 base Reports To Director Role Overview We are looking for a commercially driven Head of Permanent Energy Division to lead and rebuild a specialist recruitment function focused on the CAPEX side of the renewables market. This is a turnaround and growth role: you will take ownership of a portfolio of existing but underutilised (dormant) client accounts across the UK and Europe, reactivating them and converting them into consistent revenue streams. You’ll combine hands-on billing, strategic account development, and team/desk leadership, with a clear mandate to grow a high-performing permanent division within the energy space. Key Responsibilities Account Reactivation & Growth Take full ownership of legacy and dormant client accounts across the UK and Europe Re-engage clients and rebuild relationships at key decision-maker level Identify immediate hiring needs and convert opportunities into revenue Develop long-term account plans to maximise client value and repeat business Business Development (CAPEX Renewables) Drive new business within the CAPEX market (e.g. project developers, EPCs, consultancies, asset owners) Target key verticals such as wind, solar, energy transition, and infrastructure Position the business as a specialist partner for permanent hires across project lifecycles Billing & Delivery Remain hands-on in delivery, leading from the front as a senior biller Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for mid-to-senior level roles Ensure high-quality candidate experience and client delivery standards Strategy & Division Build Define and execute the growth strategy for the permanent energy division Identify opportunities to scale the desk/team as revenue grows Build market presence across UK and European energy hubs Stakeholder Management Report directly to the Director on performance, pipeline, and growth plans Collaborate with other teams (contract/interim, other verticals) where relevant Provide market insight and intelligence to support wider business strategy Key Requirements Experience Proven track record in permanent recruitment within energy, renewables, or infrastructure Strong experience billing within the CAPEX/project side of the market Demonstrated success in reactivating or growing existing client accounts Experience working across UK and/or European markets Skills & Competencies Commercially sharp with strong revenue-generation focus Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills Strategic thinker with hands-on delivery capability Resilient, proactive, and comfortable in a turnaround/growth environment Strong negotiation and closing skills KPIs Revenue generated from reactivated accounts New business wins within CAPEX renewables Monthly/quarterly billing performance Client retention and account growth Pipeline development across UK & Europe What’s on Offer Base salary up to £70,000 Hybrid working (3 days in London office) Opportunity to build and lead a high-growth division Access to established client base across UK and Europe Clear progression pathway as the division scales Summary This role is ideal for a senior recruiter or team lead ready to take ownership of a division, with a clear focus on turning untapped potential into revenue.
