Leader Education are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school based in Cramlington, Northumberland.
This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally.
This is a full-time role Monday-Thursday 8:30-16:30 and Friday 8:30-16:00
The Role:
* Supporting pupils within the classroom to access learning
* Working closely with teaching staff to promote positive behaviour
* Providing targeted behaviour support to pupils who may present challenging behaviour
* Supporting whole-school behaviour strategies and interventions
* Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
* Helping to create a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
* Hold a DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (desirable)
* A calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour support
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* The ability to remain resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
* A genuine passion for supporting pupils to achieve their potential
