We have a role that taps into all these skills!
This post will play an important role in the development of new arrangements for the management of the maintenance function across the Property Solutions traded service.
The post will require the holder to establish and maintain links with a range of stakeholders, including colleagues within the Property Service, service directorates, schools, partner organisations, the Council’s consultants and contractors.
The Role
In addition to the above outline, the postholder will need to;
* Maintain accurate digital records.
* Provide regular updates to management on progress against targets.
* Assist management with the resolution of complaints, disputes and claims by providing and collecting information.
* Assess the property implications of project proposals that are made by schools and other customers
* Represent the Council at meetings with schools, partner organisations or other clients as required.
The postholder will need to travel across the county and work in a range of environments which will include but not limited to confined spaces, working at height and external weather conditions.
What You will Bring:
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate skills and experience in;
* In depth knowledge of building construction, operational delivery of technical services, maintenance procedures and contracts.
* Knowledge of current guidance and legislation with respect to planning, building control and statutory requirements for building maintenance.
* Knowledge of statutory requirements, including requirements in respect of relevant Health and Safety, including the CDM regulations.
* Knowledge and / or experience of CAD software packages.
* Experience of procurement, design and risk strategies to suit a wide range of project and programme requirements.
* Experience of the design and management of construction projects, including acting as client representative and / or experience of the management or commissioning of maintenance activities
Ideally you would also have experience of budget management and be able to deal with conflicting and complex tasks.
