Purchasing Manager
Permanent Position
£55k - £60k per annum (depending on experience)
This a key role, for overseeing all procurement related activity, working closely with suppliers, manufacturers and internal departments to ensure timely and cost effective procurement of materials and services. It is essential to have supply chain experience and drive through continuous improvement and SQCDP measures.
Cannock area
Days Monday to Friday - including early finish on Friday.

Responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall purchasing strategy and operations to maximise purchase/cost performance and optimisation.
Will be looking for the candidate to:
* Reduce vendor related issues, lead times and overall inventory
* Improve team efficiency, team engagement and performance
* Qualify and evaluate vendors
* Implement agile supply chain practices
* Improve contract review and planning process
* Improve the skills and performance of the purchasing team through training and coaching
* Conduct structured morning meetings and daily communication
* Drive continuous improvements within the area through SQCDP measures
