Salary: £45,300 - £48,000 per year, with salary uplifts within the first 12 months.
Schedule: Full time and Part time opportunities. Monday – Friday, no nights or weekends.

As a Functional Assessor in our Health Assessment Advisory Service team, you’ll carry out meaningful work on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions to understand how a person’s health condition affects their daily life. Through fair, comprehensive assessments, you’ll help create a positive impact for millions of people.
This role gives Registered Nurses (RGN, RMN & RNLD), Physiotherapists, Paramedics, Occupational Therapists and Pharmacists the chance to use your clinical expertise in a new way. What You’ll Do
You’ll be entrusted to:
* Speak with customers by phone, face to face or online.
* Carry out functional health assessments and gather accurate, detailed information.
* Consult with treating healthcare professionals where appropriate.
* Produce fair, high-quality reports on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions.
* Use your observational, communication and note-taking skills to ensure every customer is treated with care and respect.
Does this sound like you?
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
* One year of post‑registration experience as a Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Pharmacist.
* Full registration with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or equivalent), with an active PIN and no restrictions.
* Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to write concise, accurate reports.
* Good IT skills and the ability to work efficiently under time pressures.
Vetting And Checks
All our Functional Assessors must successfully complete the full pre-employment security screening process, including an Enhanced DBS check, before starting in role.
