THE OPPORTUNITY – SENIOR / DAY DRILLING SUPERVISOR
Directs and manages the activities of contractors and service providers during offshore well abandonment scope and ensures work programmes are followed.
Duration: c 5 months
Location: Primarily offshore based but with onshore requirement for planning.

In role, you will be accountable for:
* Acting as the focal point for day-to‑day communication and reporting between the offshore site and onshore teams. Ensures all reporting requirements are met
* Taking a lead role in technical problem‑solving and decision‑making processes, identifies changes to programmes, risk assesses changes and obtains change approvals
* Monitoring contractor activities, materials movements, etc. and ensures contractors and service providers meet performance expectation/deliver on KPIs relating to e.g. HSE, cost effective use of services and equipment offshore
* Attending rig/platform management meetings to ensure appropriate representation in relation to drilling, completion and workover activities
* The capture of lessons learned and appropriate close out of issues, liaising with contractor and onshore teams as appropriate
* Always demonstrating HSE leadership, actively supports rig/installation safety programmes
* Ensures offshore and onshore teams interface effectively
* Contributing to End of Well Drilling and Completion Reports
* Providing technical support to offshore management during offshore emergencies/training activities in relation to drilling/well control incidents
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will have:
* A strong background in a well engineering/operations role
* A focus on delivery
* A strong attitude to HSE and associated behaviours.
* Sound commercial awareness: project financing and cost control principles. Demonstrating an innovative approach, to ensure cost‑effective, safe and environmentally acceptable engineering solutions.
* Well‑developed communication skills and be capable of working independently and as part of a team
* Experience of risk management techniques and processes
Certification:
Candidates must be fully certified by a recognised Well Control Authority e.g. Level 4 IWCF, WELLCAP.
Offshore medical, survival and MIST certification
