About the Role
Joining our team as a Test Rig Engineer, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of test rigs to support calibration and measurement activities. You will ensure that all test equipment is maintained in accordance with Trescal's high standards and that any technical issues are resolved efficiently to minimise downtime and maximise customer satisfaction.
You will also be responsible for:
* Performing calibration of customer equipment using approved procedures
* Ensuring all certificates and records are completed accurately and on time
* Participate in Trescal & customer surveillance and accreditation audits
* Develop measurement uncertainty budgets for customer calibrations
Our ideal On-Site Test Rig Engineer will:
* Have an electrical diagnostic background
* Formal qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or extensive demonstrable experience in and understanding calibration, both practical and theory
* Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic and mechanical principles
* Previous experience in Jig/Tool recertification would be beneficial.
* Excellent reporting and communication skills.

Requirements
* Previous experience working with test rigs or similar technical equipment in an engineering environment
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance and repair
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy and demanding environment
* Organisational skills and attention to detail
* IT literate with knowledge of Windows-based software
* Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience
