Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are working closely with a Primary School in the heart of Weston-Super-Mare who are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work as a member of a team supporting the learning of children with SEND and SEMH needs.
This school has a clear pedagogy, inclusive and exciting curriculum, and high expectations of their staff and pupils achievements.
The Role
This position is to start as soon as possible, where you will be working closely with few SEN children across the school.
The Head Teacher is looking for someone who has previous experience working as a TA or with SEN children. Someone who is flexible and communicates well with others to ensure the pupils’ are getting the best learning opportunities with their needs being met.
You will be expected to:
* Build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
* Be passionate about making a difference to all children.
* Have some knowledge of phonics.
* Have some experience or knowledge of SEND.
