Location: Newham
Contract: Full-time, long-term

A forward-thinking secondary school in Newham is seeking an inspiring ICT Teacher to take on a full-time, long-term role starting this September. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school that recognises the value of digital literacy and innovation in education.

The ideal candidate will be confident teaching ICT across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to support Computer Science delivery and contribute to digital learning initiatives across the school.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

* Planning and delivering interactive ICT lessons, covering topics like digital systems, programming, cyber safety, and data analysis

* Preparing students for GCSE ICT or Computer Science, ensuring strong progress across a range of abilities

* Encouraging critical thinking and creativity through projects involving coding, software use, and IT-based problem-solving

* Embedding digital citizenship and responsible online behaviour into the curriculum

* Supporting extra-curricular clubs, coding challenges, or school-wide tech events

* Collaborating with colleagues to integrate tech more effectively across subjects

You Will Be a Great Fit If You:

* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification

* Have experience teaching ICT in a UK secondary setting

* Are familiar with curriculum changes, including GCSE Computer Science frameworks

* Have a passion for digital learning, coding, and emerging technology

* Can deliver lessons that are both technically accurate and engaging for diverse learners

* Are proactive, tech-savvy, and committed to keeping students safe online

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
