Job Description:
Job Purpose: Managing the MWE project and associated delivery team across multiple locations. The Senior Project Manager will be expected to ensure the cost-effective and timely delivery of all contractual obligations and service provisions. Good project and people management skills are essential.
Duties:
* Be responsible for the P&L on the MWE works and to lead and direct operational activities to maintain and improve VFM for both QinetiQ and EMCOR UK.
* Develop strong relationships with customer staff and their representatives, applying Key Account Management principles to foster good working relationships and optimize the commercial position of EMCOR.
* Lead and inspire delivery teams to meet contractual obligations cost-effectively, ensuring stakeholder expectations are met.
* Conduct joint site inspections and audits with stakeholders, ensuring actions are disseminated and closed out within agreed timeframes.
* Engage in tender activities with supply chain and partners, developing cost-effective delivery solutions.
* Ensure the MWE works have qualified and experienced teams, deploying HR strategies to recruit, develop, motivate, and retain management capabilities.
* Develop mobilisation, transition, and operational plans to meet commercial and operational deliverables within timescales.
* Produce and implement project programmes for the MWE works.
* Lead lessons learned reviews and progress meetings with clients and stakeholders.
* Conduct operational activities in accordance with EMCOR policies, including health, safety, quality, environment, financial reporting, and HR policies.
* Promote an organisational culture reflecting EMCOR's core values, fostering positive employee relations and continuous improvement.
* Maintain good external relationships with clients, suppliers, and other parties, promoting EMCOR's image.
Person Specification:
* Willing to travel.
* Thorough knowledge of project services within the UK.
* Experienced leader of multi-disciplinary teams across wide geographical areas.
* Proven change leader capable of transforming organisations, cultures, and behaviors.
* Strong commercial awareness and track record on complex contracts.
* Experience managing supply chain partners, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Charismatic leader with the ability to motivate others.
* Strong commercial acumen.
* Resilient and determined to achieve objectives under operational pressures.
* Able to identify and implement 'win-win' solutions under pressure.
* Energetic and enthusiastic.
* Full UK Driving Licence required.
