Engineering customer technical helpdesk support professional required to work with customers and engineers to resolve equipment issues on a range of electronic analysis and laboratory equipment.

Our globally renowned and respected client has been established for more than 60 years and specialises in the design, manufacture, and support of bespoke instrumentation and special purpose equipment solutions for supply throughout the world.

As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and proactive Engineering and Technical Customer Support Engineer to support their UK Service Team, assisting with a range of automated laboratory and analysis equipment used in Clinical and Industrial markets across the UK.

Reporting to the Customer Relationship Centre Manager, the successful candidate will focus on enhancing customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention by providing excellent service, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring efficient operation of the Customer Relationship Centre team.

Core responsibilities include supporting both internal and external customers and the Field Service team via telephone, remote support applications like Vilink, and on-site visits for fault diagnosis and repair of various systems and equipment. You will also complete relevant documentation related to repairs and maintenance.

You will respond to customer or staff enquiries, resolve issues, and maintain comprehensive records. Full training will be provided, and you will develop a broad knowledge of the supported systems within the UK and Ireland.

You will operate within SOPs for Technical Complaint Handling, participate in meetings, and deputise for senior team members as needed.

To be considered for this role, candidates should have at least ONC level qualification or higher in electronic engineering, along with exceptional communication, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
