The Eastern Pathology Alliance is formed from three Pathology Laboratories at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH), the James Paget University Hospital, and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn.
We have an exciting opportunity for a HCPC‑registered Biomedical Scientist to work in the Andrology laboratory of the Haematology department at NNUH.
Responsibilities
* Perform a range of analyses, including semen preparation and analysis, in the NNUH Andrology Laboratory.
* Input, report, and amend patient data and results, including verification of colleagues’ work.
* Engage in patient contact, explain results, and reassure users when results differ from clinical presentation.
* Assist in the education and training of medical staff, clinical scientists, other biomedical scientists, trainee biomedical scientists, MLAs, and visiting students as required.
* Maintain ongoing competence by attending courses, lectures, mandatory continuing professional development (CPD), and other training activities.
* Work within a busy and dynamic team while consistently demonstrating NNUH’s PRIDE values of People focused, Respect, Dedication, Integrity, and Excellence.
Qualifications
* HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
* Band 5 level experience or equivalent.
