Deputy Head RVN – Portsmouth
Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £29,000 – £34,000 DOE
Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time
Hours: 40 hours per week | 1 in 4 weekends
About the Role:
We’re looking for a motivated and compassionate Deputy Head Nurse to join our growing team in Portsmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a dynamic clinical team, supporting the Head Nurse in driving clinical standards, operational efficiency, and patient care.
You’ll play a key part in delivering outstanding care, overseeing daily clinical activities, and supporting the continuous development of our nursing team.
What We’re Looking For:
A qualified, RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse
Strong team player with excellent communication skills
Keen to lead by example, with a hands-on, proactive attitude
Passionate about delivering high standards of care and customer service
A love for a varied, fast-paced clinical environmentWorking Pattern:
40 hours per week across 4 days
9-hour shifts covering a mix of consulting, inpatient, and surgical duties
1 in 4 weekend rotaFlexible Working:
